Soooo....it really doesn't surprise me that I haven't posted on here in like, a year (I like to exaggerate, so sue me). This is what happens with me. I get really into something for a little bit and then a week later I get bored. And then I get into it again. I'm weird, I know. BUT HEY! I have something MUCHO exciting to talk about, and I figured what better place to do it than LJ! *is trying to make up for her earlier insults*
Alright, so, I'll be honest, I'm really not that much of a TV show kinda gal. Very rarely does one come along that has me counting down the days to next week so I can watch it again. I think the only ones that have come close to this sort of obsession have been Project Runway and The Office. But not anymore!
A few months ago, I saw a preview for this show called Moonlight. It's on CBS and it's about a private investigator in L.A. who tries to help people by solving murders, catching bad guys, you know the story. Buuuuut he's also a vampire. I know, that kind of thing usually has people scrunching up their noses (me included), but it looked too intriguing to pass up, so I watched the premiere last Friday.
Enter obsession.
The show is freaking FANTASTIC. It's gripping and funny and dark and (this is the best part) there's romance that will have you melting on your couch. For serious. I thought the whole vampire thing would turn me off, but the show isn't over-the-top with crazy demons running around like Buffy or Angel, which I never really could get into. It's realistic. I dare you not to fall in love with the main character (okay, so it helps that he's gorgeous :P). It's just an all-around amazing show. I haven't been this excited about something in a LONG time. And if this feels like a sales pitch, you aren't too far off. I'm desperately trying to spread the word about it, because there's a chance that CBS might cancel it before really giving it the chance it deserves. I pray that won't happen, so please give it a shot! It might surprise you. :)
Also, I've recently gotten into the whole "making graphics" thing, so I might be putting up some icons and stuff up here soon. I really need to get this obsessive stuff under control. Homework and writing are both at the bottom of my priority list at the moment. I need another distraction like I need a hole in the head. *dies*
Ah well. C'est la vie...

Well, here goes nothing.
No, really. I literally have nothing to talk about. I'm writing this right now because I have a big fat essay staring me in the face and I'm primly ignoring it. Or some other such adverb to describe insolence. I suppose this could be fun though. However, I'm completely confounded by all this set-up stuff. My layout is irking me. I'll probably change it another 15 times before giving up out of pure annoyance. But all the free ones suck.
Er...no offense to LJ. Or...to people who have those layouts. *sigh* Great, first day here and I've managed to offend the big guns and half its members already. Awesome!
So yes, I'm here, I'm perplexed, I'm offensive, and I'm not doing my homework. I think that sums me up in a nutshell.
Even though I don't really like nuts...
